hello all new poster long time reader , I just bought some gt 500 chrome knockoffs 18x9.5 all four
I will put bf goodrich dral radials on all 4 front is 255 45 18's and back will be 195 35 18's do you see any problem getting 295's on a 9.5 rim b f goodrich said 10 or higher for proper fit ... has anyone put a 295 35 on a 9.5 inch rim ... thanks for all replys Will

 

if they recommend 10+ dont use your rims with those tires there is an increased chance that under hard cornering the tire can come off the bead. I am sure people on this forum will tell you that they run it that way and there is no problem but I highly dought they have the same knowlage as the engineers that designed the tires and decided what is safe and what is not safe

 

thanks I thought so , but the rims are 9.5 no bigger ones yet , I guess 285 35 18 would work ?

 

You'd be best off using 285/40s... You'd have about the same as stock diameter and you won't notice the 10mm as much as you'd think. I usually can't tell until I get to 20mm differences and larger.
