I am no wheel expert when it comes to all the fine details...
but there are plenty of 18 inch wheels like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...7966453637&rd=1
listed on eBay specifically for the 05.
Whereas the OEM (true) wheels have the 45mm offset, these and the others have like 22 to 30mm offset.
These will NOT fit right, correct???...

Technically they will fit, but they will stick out farther from the car than the stock wheels. Some people might prefer this since the stock wheels are sunk in a tad bit. I have seen pics of cars with wheels designed for the SN-95s and I thought they looked very nice. A few of the people had obviously just taken them off of an SN-95, because the tires were too small for the 05. In the end, it's up to personal preference.

I recently went through the same dilemma and here is what i did:
I looked at the wheels on ebay, took down the 800 number for oe wheels distributors, and went to discount tire with it. I asked the discount tire guy to test fit a +25 mm offset 18" wheel on my GT which he had no problem doing. the wheels fit perfectly on my 05, and the edge of the rim lip is dead flush with the fender.
The next thing i did was ask him what he would quote me for an 18 x 9 replica bullit rim, and his quote was around $225.00
I told him that I had a way better quote from a wheel distributor, and asked if he would match it. He looked at the ebay auction, called the wheel distributer and got the buy it now price quoted over the phone which he matched with shipping.
I got 4 wheels, tires (falken 245 40 zr18's) chrome lugs, lockers, and chrome stems, mounted, balanced, and warrantied, plus a set of eibach pro kit springs for $1400.00
I am thinking of changing the tires to 45's or 50' , and also going with 255's instead of 245's
I hope this helps you decide what to do!!
