What would 22" Chrome Bullitts look like ?
To address the ride quality.... It all depends on the brand of the tire and the sidewall stiffness and load rating and PSI. My wifes new Scion tC with the stock 215-45-17 rides worse then my car. The tires are very stiff and you feel everything, plus the car is light so it tends to have more bounce to it. The 19's we put on it have a 235-35 and they ride BETTER then the stock 17's
I do not race my car so unsprung weight does not matter to me, To really freak you race guys out I added 800lbs of audio in the back seat and trunk
If you don't like it or its not your cup of tea then thats fine but please don't call my car ghetto, I grew up in the ghetto, one of the worse parts of Houston Texas and my family was one of the only white familys in the area, we did not have enough money for food much less a car with flashy wheels. Now that I have pulled my self out of the ghetto and I have a good job that pays me more in a month then my dad made in a year I take nothing for granted. I work hard and I enjoy fixing up my toys and I know not everyone is going to like it but atleast give me the respect to not call me ghetto.
The last few trucks I built were all in magazines and I tried to do something a little different when I sold my last truck and got the Stang, This is my last truck

I had plans to put air ride on the Stang and shave it and do a 2 tone paint job. I ended up buying a house and getting married so the car has taken a back seat to my house for the last year and maybe for a couple years to come. I plan on selling the stang and getting back into trucks, less people in that group that want to label you because you are not normal and doing a race car or going old school because its a mustang, In the truck scene you can do something different and people respect the amount of blood sweat and tears people put in to building a ride. I remember now why I hadnt posted on this site in over a year

Of course its completely up to the individual what path they want to take, but modifying a GT in such a way does strike people as odd, it's unavoidable. If my friend came by and told me he wanted to do those things to a Mustang, I wouldn't tell him not too, I'd probably just reccomend he get a V6, nothing wrong with that a V6 has more than enough power unless you are the "racer" type.

As far as poeple saying what your doing is not normal to a mustang the same can go around and say trucks are ment to be rugged and tough jacked up and lifted. Again, its who you ask and what their personal taste are.
And most of the poeple who posted on this thread clearly stated "just my opinion". Im sure none of them intentionally wanted to make you or anyone else with 22's feel bad.
Not everyone likes the cup of tea
Thats what makes modding cars so addicting. Never know what your gonna see at the next show
I'm all for people doing whatever they want with their car, only question I would have is why not save some cash and go for a V6 if it's a show/audio exhibition car? I think the reason people have that reaction is that checking that box next to a GT Trim on your order form is a very costly option. The cost of the car is up $5k, gas goes up, insurance goes up, and in turn you get a faster/better handling car. Usually people who order a GT wouldn't mind making the trade-off, because they are performance oriented. To go and throw some 22's and 800lbs of stereo complete negates any performance you gained power/handling wise.

I got the GT for the larger breaks to stop the 22's I knew I was going to put on it. I also liked the fog lights and the little extra power I would have over the v6 with all the weight and larger wheels, The insurance difference would have been 15 bucks a month and I still get an average of 18mpg the way it sits right now. I do not remember checking it before all the mods but I dont think its much more then that.
Thanks bored out. I am in the process of trying to sell it so if you know anybody, I can sell it as is or I have everything to put it back to completely stock, the more I take off the lower the price gets. I have had 22's on it from day one so it has not been drove hard nor have I tried to race it once. I baby my vehicles and try to keep them 100% for as long as I possably can.
22's look pretty nice on the stang.
but they are more suited for 300c's and chargers.
mustangs are just too classy for that amount of gaudy flash.
no offense, it's just too much. subtlety is the key to a great looking car imo.
to each his own.

I'm no expert as I roll on 18s, but when you look in the pictures theres a bunch of run down fences and garbage in the grass and houses stacked right on top of each other. All the photos seem to have some unkept yards and similar situations in them. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and from what I remember of all the knife fights, shootings and broken down property, it looks familiar.
Any "thugs" give you a thumbs up? That's a definite indicator.
(Just bustin' your *****. I like the car as it is clean looking and the Silver paint is classy.)

Wow there is alot of stupidity spilling over from this thread.
.
LMAO at mexican low rider. Completely different crowd home slice. I've owned nothing but mini trucks up until I got into mustangs. I think mustangs are the biggest piece of craps ever but I loved the new retro style and the way they looked. Plus I wanted something with a little pep to it since I've had nothing but 4 banger trucks and a one v6(ssssssllllllooow). Too each their own but all this hate in this thread really makes me sick.

It was directed to you as well. Saying "no disrespect" and then saying someones truck looks like a mexican lowrider(when you know that is degrading to the persons hard work) doesn't make your opinion any less ghey. That being said, your free to voice any opinion its your right. I can too
.
And no disrespect but some of those "mexican low rider" trucks have more hard work and more fabricated parts than yours would ever have
. I have mad respect for anyones vehicle they have fixed up. I see no reason to bash anyones choices cause i know i built my car for me
, as did you and everyone else on here (who doesn't drive a stock one).

Ew, I'm sorry I just really don't like anything bigger than a 19" on a Mustang. MAYBE a 20". It looks like people with the 22s needed to lift their suspension, cause it's riding really high. Too bad they don't make my Hot Wheels 68's in 19" otherwise I'd have those in the back.

. Jesh people. Quit being so sensitive. Most stereotypes are based in some truth, we need to quit looking for reasons to be offended.
Now, back to topic, poster asked what 22's would look like on a Mustang and it's purely a matter of opinion. So remember what opinions are like and move on.
