umm might look intresting setting still, not my taste. One pot hole or hard crack and those rims are toast. literally no tire sidewall. A bent rim is inevitable. But I would like to see a pic.... might look good

Come on guys my car is not ghetto.

I have had 255-30-22 tires on 2 different sets of 22 inch wheels since the car was new back in Feb. 2005 and I have not bent a wheel or blown out a tire or even had anybody ride in the car that said they could see a big difference in the ride quality of those low profile tires verses there stocks.

Here are a couple recent pictures, I dont know which pictures those were posted on that other thread it wont let me see them anymore here at work

Oh and to the OP, I know mine are not bullets but IMO they remind me of a modern day version of the bullet, They are Zenetti Throwbacks

I think they fit the wheel wells perfectly. I would swear they are 20" wheels from the pictures. I like them.

here's another one off the other website (MF) with 22"s.

I think anything bigger than 20"s are just ridiculous especially on a mustang...

There is DEFF a difference in ride quality from 22" to stock rims and tire combo. I have 20's and I lost ride comfort with low profile so theres deff a loss with even more tire loss and bigger rims added to the equation. There has to be. No tire to absorb anything rims just help move vibrations from the road to the car.

Would I do 18's if I had the chance? Prolly not but I just wanted to point out. Big rims = loss in ride quality.

Come on guys my car is not ghetto.

22' wheels on anything other than a large SUV are indeed ghetto.
Just what do you think they would be rolling on in the ghetto anyways?

Sorry...22" Wheels don't appeal to me either...no longer looks like "American Muscle."

On that car, the wheels dont look all that bad. They are too big, but to each his own. I def wouldnt put them on my car, I say 18s-20s are big enough, besides the bigger brakes needed to stop the wheels, poorer gas mileage, and more wear and tear on the transmission. Plus, the bigger the wheel is, the more expensive it will be, and in my opinion, why spend 5k on wheels, when you can get real good tires for less than 2 grand, and leave the rest to your mod budget.

You are not kidding. I just put 20's on my car and you do notice that extra weight going over bumps.

There is also the rotating mass, harder to speed up and slow down.

Well stated StangMahn... I concur with your assesment. I love the look of my 17" Bullits w/knockoffs... Not too flashy, with a hint of old-school.

I roll on 22.5's in my DD, ride quality is NICE! Of course, the air seat helps a lot.

To address the ride quality.... It all depends on the brand of the tire and the sidewall stiffness and load rating and PSI. My wifes new Scion tC with the stock 215-45-17 rides worse then my car. The tires are very stiff and you feel everything, plus the car is light so it tends to have more bounce to it. The 19's we put on it have a 235-35 and they ride BETTER then the stock 17's

I do not race my car so unsprung weight does not matter to me, To really freak you race guys out I added 800lbs of audio in the back seat and trunk

If you don't like it or its not your cup of tea then thats fine but please don't call my car ghetto, I grew up in the ghetto, one of the worse parts of Houston Texas and my family was one of the only white familys in the area, we did not have enough money for food much less a car with flashy wheels. Now that I have pulled my self out of the ghetto and I have a good job that pays me more in a month then my dad made in a year I take nothing for granted. I work hard and I enjoy fixing up my toys and I know not everyone is going to like it but atleast give me the respect to not call me ghetto.

The last few trucks I built were all in magazines and I tried to do something a little different when I sold my last truck and got the Stang, This is my last truck

I had plans to put air ride on the Stang and shave it and do a 2 tone paint job. I ended up buying a house and getting married so the car has taken a back seat to my house for the last year and maybe for a couple years to come. I plan on selling the stang and getting back into trucks, less people in that group that want to label you because you are not normal and doing a race car or going old school because its a mustang, In the truck scene you can do something different and people respect the amount of blood sweat and tears people put in to building a ride. I remember now why I hadnt posted on this site in over a year
