I need some new tires soon and I have 245/45 18 up front and 275/40 18 out back. It's my daily driver and I want some decent tread wear. What brand of tires and how many miles have you put on them?

I just installed a set of Kumho Ecsta ASXs in 255/45/18, and they're awesome. Great handling, good wear (I've had them before on other cars), and they're relatively cheap, comparatively!

Before i had my sumitomos that i have now i had the kuhmo ectsas. I liked them but i seemed to have a problem with wearing the down way to quickly. I went through 2 set on the front and 3 sets on the rear before i gave up on them all together.

I just got a set of Nitto Invo's 255/35/20 in the front and 295/35/20 in the rear. They provide a nice smoth quiet ride and grip fairly well depending on what kind of power you are putting down.

I put a set of Invo 255/45X18 on my car but I don't expect get wear our of them. I'm more interested in a performance tire than a high mileage tire but that's not what you asked.
I have heard good things about the Hankook V12's also.

As for summer, I have Nitto 555 Extreme's I got with my rims. I love 'em. A ton of grip but when it lets go it's very easy to control. Great in rain, just as good as the Michelin's. When my 555's eventually wear out, I'll be getting another set.

Really? I had the Ecsta ASX's for 2 years and probably wouldn't buy them again. They had awesome grip in the dry, but once you broke loose, you were sliding like crazy. There was no progressive loss of grip. It got very sketchy if you had just a little too much fun. In the rain they weren't that great either. Snow...well it's snow. Definitely better than the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's, but the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's I have on it now for the winter are SO much better.

I had Sumitomos and they were great tires but a little noisy for my taste. I'm getting new tires this weekend and was originally going with General Exclaim UHPs until I found out they are not making them anymore. I've decided to go with Nitto 555s. It'll be my first experience with Nitto and I'm hoping for the best.
