Did a search, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I can see the four indentations that you're supposed to drill out for mounting the license plate, but I have no hardware. Someone said their hardware was in the glove compartment, but mine wasn't.

So, if I head to the hardware store, what do I need to buy? Are there threads behind the plastic that bolts go into, or do I need washers/nuts to go on the back?

Thanks!

You should be able to get self drilling license plate screws from AutoZone, Advanced Auto parts,Pepboys..etc. Just line drive them in with a nutdriver (drill / drivers work best).

Look in the trunk, underneath the liner by the spare tire. The license plate hardware is likely in there, in a small manilla envelope.

(thought I didn't have any either...but there it was)

I actually went to the dealer in search of the mounting hardware for the front plate, willing to pay even. Dealer told me no frame or mounting hardware available, just screw the plate onto the bumper with self tappers. That's what I did, even though I hated to do it. I will have to check for this hardware.

The little envelope had all six screws that you'd need (4 for the rear plate, 2 for the front), along with a diagram.

It also had the wheel lock key in it, as well as the four lugs that the wheel locks replaced.

I was actually looking for the wheel lock key at the time - finding the plate mounting hardware was a coincidence.

I went to Ace Hardware and got some stainless steel screws, so they won't rust.
