Ok so heres the deal i have a black mustang conv. with black top...but the top looks more like dark charcoal....do you all think it would look nice if i had racing stripes to match the top and give the car a little edge...oh its a GT so dont start thinking i want stripes on a V6no offense V6'ers....

I think it would look great. I have seen a few stangs striped that are verts. Just make sure you do the bumpers as well.

Competition orange stripes would really set it off!

I agree. It makes sense. Verts are never dispayed or advertised without having the top down.

 

Just had to throw in the part about the V6...

Stripes look OK on the convertible, but not as good as a coupe, I'd leave it

 

I think it woud look good. For some reason racing stripes set this car off and in a very good way too ! I would go ahead for it since not many cars can have racing stripes and look good like the mustang does.

 

Before I decided not to go with a black vert I was thinking about doing anthracite bullets with stripes that matched the wheels.

I'll be going with black Shelby stripes on my Tungsten vert with black top. I'm also pondering black deep dish bullets but haven't made up my mind on that yet.

Personally I think the trick is if you're not going black vert with black top you should do the stripes the same color as the top so it looks good with the top up or down.

 

I agree. I mean, just as an example, there is no reason to get white stripes on a red car if you got black top, and so on and etc.

Does anybody have pictures of stripes on convertible with:

o top up
o stripe matching top color

I can't figure out whether it would look nice or not without a picture. I sure would like to know.
