Mine chin is in the shop as we speak for a torch red paint job. I like it to be body color but if you are going with black go matte.

Well, the spoiler will be here tomorrow. I've decided to go with the matte black, since TorchRedV6's suggestion made perfect sense to me (i.e. going with a "Mach 1' themed look). Without a plan, I'm going to end up with a mish-mash of styles (A dash of Boss, a pinch of Shelby, two tablespoons of Mach 1, etc) I think sticking with a single theme I like for guidance will yield the best results in the end.

I'll do the front spoiler and rear spoiler in black, blackout or center stripe the hood (undecided on the '69 or '70 Mach hood style) and add a Shaker if the boys at CDC are kind enough to make one (yeah, I know Fang has one, but I prefer keeping the aluminum hood, and to my eye, CDC's styling is better with the hood open. Fang's looks a little to "Euro" or something to me when the hood is open).

I'll probably also look into the Mach 1 style seat covers (with the red stripe) that are on the market down the road.

I'd like to thank everyone for their opinions and suggestions

Now I'm REALLY stoked about this plan. The one downside was that I was figuring my Ecosse strut brace would be history in order to install the shaker...but CDC has a pic on their website of a similar bar installed (Steeda's I think) with the on a white car with a blower and the shaker and it looks like it clears in back... CDC Shaker page

Now they just need to be convinced to make the Shaker for the V6....

I know I'm late getting to this thread but here is a shot of my vert with the CDC classic chin:

I like the flat black look but also think it would look great painted.

Looks very nice.

I think I'll be happy with the black too. I'm hoping to get it painted and install it next week.
