I like the sounds of GT460 but I see nothing wrong with my car saying GT350. I kinda like it. Anyway, I thought I saw a ROUSH once that had markings of 400A or something like that. Personally, I think you can put just about anything on their as long as it makes sense and people would understand what it meant. I put GT350 on mine and if FORD should produce a new styled GT350 I can already hear people say that I am a wannabe. So be it, I put the GT350 on my new style Stang before FORD did so :P
440A stood for 400 horsepower, 40th Anniversary; to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang in Roush's own special way.

I don't see anything wrong with putting GT350/500 Stripes or badges on your car, to each his own, and that what makes having a Mustang so great...personalization is endless.

As someone else mentioned there's the idea of putting MUSTANG in the stripe. I've thought about that also, but it would have to be on the door instead of the fender because it's so long. Not sure if I'd like that.

I wouldn't use GT460, people will think you swapped in the old 7.5 liter pushrod motor.

As far as your dilemma, my personal inclination is to stay away from GT-anything designations within a side stripe. Maybe you could go with FR500_ and fill in the blank with a letter of significance to you. My two cents worth.
Well since FR 500C (from the Grand Am series 05 Mustang race cars), stands for Ford Racing 5.0Liter Cammer:

"FR 460C" would be an option (4.6L cammer). But now that I type it out, I don't think anyone would get it and don't know if it would look "right" to me.

Assuming I go this route (I love the Mach 1/Boss look too), I guess it will come down to GT 300, GT 460, GT 281, or maybe just solid stripes

I don't really I'd like the way GT 460 would look. I think your car would look good if you just put "GT" or maybe "GT 4.6L".
