I stopped by a dealership here in SC and they had several 05's with a stripe package on the hood, top, and trunk. It appeared to be something adhered to the car, rather than actual painted stripes. They had a low gloss, almost flat appearance.

It looked sharp. If you have this done, can you ever just peel it off or does the paint come off with it?

 

You would want to take them off right away. A couple of years down the line the different paint shades will show due to weather factors.
