I went to a place earlier today and was quoted about 150 for two white 10" with a 1" gap vinyl stripes. Does this seem a little too cheap and should I find a place who might do better quality work? I saw a dodge stealth that they did and it looked decent though.

I paid $460 for my stripes. That does seem cheap to me, but if you've seen their work and it's what you want, go for it.

$150 is too cheap IMO. Even if they do great work, the quality of vinyl may be bad, which is why they can charge so little.

I paid 600 for bumber to bumber 10" stripes. Sounds cheap to me as well. But I say as long as they offer a good warranty (mine was 5 years) and use decent vinyl, (just a guess from what I've read but 3M or Avery) and do a good job you should be ok. Ask them about the vinyl they use and the warranty they offer?

Sounds quite cheap to me too!
Have a look at http://www.bobwhitedecals.com/Products/2005/05SS10.htm for some 3M decals with pricing - delivered, not installed!

That does sound extremely cheap. Do you know what kind of vinyl they are using? Are you using metallic or gloss? Find out if it is 2 mil automotive grade vinyl. For that price it sounds like they are using 3 mil calendared vinyl which should not be used on a vehicle, well, unless you don't mind having it crack and peel within the first 2 years.

Even though you don't really say it, I assume the price is installed???? That seems awful low for an installed price. Are they doing the bumpers?

yeah 150 is the installed price... i'll call them and see what their warranty is and what vinyl they use

I guarantee they are using 3 mil vinyl. That stuff is cheap. I know because I bought enough of it to stripe my entire car for like thirty bucks. I used the cheap stuff because the vinyl for me was temporary... just 6 months or so. But if you want to keep your vinyl for a few years or more, don't let them use it.
