Well I was looking at the steeda site and saw on one of the desktop pictures for the 2005 was a red gt with amber fog lights in grill. I always liked the yellow /amber colored fog lights. I wrote to steeda but they did not reply. Anyone have any idea on where to get different colored fogs that will fit in stock units. If you do please pass it on.

I'm working on multiple colors and testing different materials to see which ones work best...

ultimately, I'd like to have removable/reusable lenses available. just a pet project, but I'd be willing to make more and sell them for cheap if anyone was interested...

Xpel has colored protective shields. I only wanted the yellow tinted ones for the driving lights, not the whole set and by calling their office was able to order them. 1-800-447-9928 (Sharon) $26.06 including shipping.

I'm working on a much cheaper product. I thought the idea of tinting the lenses was good, but it's a pain to take off if you ever needed to. I also though about a hard plastic colored lens, but learned the hard way that those can crack or break under rough conditions or very cold weather.

Ultimately, what I found to be best was a semi-soft material that would be hard enough to withstand rough weather, but mallable enough to install or remove in seconds.

So far i was able to procure some test material in the following colors:

Yellow
Blue
Red
Green
Purple

I'm still trying to locate orange...please see the pics below...

Maybe a dumb question, but aren't certain colors reserved ONLY for emergency vehicles, especially red and blue? I know yellow is ok for fogs, but I thought there were strict guidelines for light color on vehicles. Isn't that why those strange under-car lights are for "off road or show purposes only"? Just curious, 'cause I'm liking the blue ones.
I had a blue light inside the corral in the grille on my '71 Fastback. My girlfriend left it on one night in an area where I had told her to keep it off. She got pulled over and was told that it was really cool looking, but illegal. Nice guy, no ticket.

Here are mine.....YELLOW!!
Tinted Yellow Vinyl. Easily removable if I ever want to go back to original ( which I wont). Looks like replaced lens glass, but A LOT cheaper.

Again, can't speak for all states but in Missouri you can only have white or amber (yellow or orangish) lights on the front of your vehicle. Red can not be visible from the front.

NO OTHER COLORS ARE PERMITTED AT ALL EXCEPT ON EMERGENCY VEHICLES OR SECURITY VEHICLES WITH THE PROPER PERMIT.

The lenses are rounded though - and I was told that the heat from the fogs would melt tint. Is this true? How difficult is it to tint the rounded lenses?

Anyone find the smoke or gray lenses yet?
