Hey all,
I'm planning on putting a whole set of bright green varad leds inside my 05 when it gets here - not to be on all the time, i'd have a switch under the dash. I'm planning on putting them inside the air vents, in the door handle, the map panels in the doors, above the pedals and footwells, on the trunk and hood lids (inside), and in the glovebox. no neon, nothing outside the car, just the interior glow. has anyone used varad before? I'm going for that "inside of a stealth bomber" type look (ok, and i really really like green) opinions? check out varads site for an idea of what i want to do: http://www.varad.com/products/products-index.html

the radio bar would work good for those who are adding the CDC Ducktail which closed up the third break light.

Some really cool ideas there. Was never big on the interior being lit up, but here and there wouldn't be bad. Thanks for the tip!

Indy - great idea! odds are high i'll be getting the CDC, so if I have to get a 3rd brakelight, that might just be the ticket!
Robb - no prob, just throwin ideas out there. I'm not too big on lights either, since they all remind me of those awful neon jobs the ricers add, but if I put a switch in the car and use it at night sometimes, I'm really looking forward to the effect!
thanks for input, fellas - anyone out there TRIED anything like this yet?

I had a focus that I did the interior up with lights. I had the LEDs under the dash, Fiberoptic lights on the dash (in the grooves). I also had black lights in the back seat. I think my favorite was the fiberoptics. You can find cheap sets at Walmart or nice sets at your local stereo shop. Not too cheap, but well worth the price if you're into that.

Sorry Ben, no pics. I'll try to explain though. The focus has a crazy asymmetrical slope to the dash. It also has a tiny groove between what looks like a seam of the dash. I put blue fiber optic wire (really thin wire) in the seem. Looks pretty ricey though. I'm pretty sure the RX-7 from Fast and the Furious had the same red wire through the car. Look around at some stereo shops and I'm sure you'll find it. I think I got mine at Walmart. StreetGlow.
