I thought it would be helpful to post the stripe dimensions for the V6 Sport Appearance Package hood stripe. I took the dimensions myself in anticipation of doing someting similar to my car.

Measuring from the front edge:

Center Stripe 14"

Border Accent Stripe 1 1/4"

Spacing 7/8"

The center stripe actually ends at the front of the hood scoop. The border stripe tapers in around the rear of the hood scoop and as the accent stripe loops around the back of it the border and spacing dimensions are consistant.

Also notice the border stripes have rounded corners at the front edge of the hood.
