V6 grille on a GT? Pics

I may not be a master of the obvious, but this sure looks like a V6 grille on a GT bumper. Am I right? I know some of you on here are wanting this look, figured I'd throw it out there.

yes it is a v6 grill. Its an almost popular mod for people who don't like the foglights of the GT. Looks great actually looks like this pic of a GTR model I have.

I'd love to know how he got it to fit so well.
IIRC there should be gaps around the sides.

I could live with that gap, it's no so evident as I'd expected.

On another note, I'm starting to like those headlights in black ($400 at California Mustang seems expensive though)... maybe it's the whole front end treatment that looks good as a package? A chin spoiler would definitely complete the look!

Give it a shot. Not too hard to find a V6 grille on eBay. Just remember the tabs don't line up so a little cutting is required.

I bought one and wasn't happy with the gaps so I left the GT grille in there.

So did you consider putting some 1/4in foam tape on the V6 grill where it meets the bumper cover so it would fill the gap in?

Im sure its not a perfect solution, but it may work until someone gets off thier butt and offers us a fogless oem looking grill.

I didn't want to have to cut my bumper for the V6 tabs so I didn't use it. From what I remember the gap was pretty big... at least for I'd want to see on my car. It would've bugged me to death.
It's been a while though. Maybe it wasn't as much of a gap as I remember.

They do look pretty good on that car. I'd like to see those headlights but with that little tack on piece that you can get to make it look like the 1970 Mustang.
