Does anyone know if the current Rims would fit the 05 stang, I'm thinking of buying the Saleen 18" chrome wheels, but i'm not sure if the bolt pattern is the same thanks

But the rumors are leaning to the no side
I would just like someone to post the price difference between a performance tire in the current 17" size and the upcoming 18" size. You're going to need to pay for replacements sometime.
This is a question that will reveal my ignorance on the topic, but what the heck do the 2#5 numbers mean in the series of numbers designating each wheel type. I have seen 235, 245, 255, 275, is this the diameter, side wall, rubber width? I know the last number is the wheel size, but please clear this up for me. Thanks.

Here is a quick explaination of how tire sizing works.
Example Tire P235/55WR17 - the standard tire for the 2005 Mustang GT
235 = tread width in mm
55 = the sidewall aspect ratio, that is the sidewall is 55% of the tread width
. . . so .55 X 235 = sidewall width of 129 mm
W = Speed rating of the tire
R = Radial
17 = wheel size in inches.
Now please don't ask me to explain why the tread width is expressed in mm and the wheel size in inches, because I don't have a clue.

I really wish the optional GT 17 inch rims were available for the V6

And for one more shameless plug, if you're looking for the Bullitts...I'll be selling mine.

So should we all go out and buy some new tires/wheels/rims just to get a better ride? I think not!
But hey, if you want to, and have the money for it, go ahead, more power to ya. I'd satisfied with stock tires for now, until I can go over 150 that is...

That's what I'm talking about, after buying a new set of tires for my car (17" Optional wheels for 1997) I'm satisfied with the look and performance and the cost was pretty high too. I can't even imagine having to buy a set of four 18" wheels. Start saving now if you plan on smoking the tires or doing quarter miles much.

I'm sticking w/ the Bullitts,
plus the extra inch of rubber will make the rider that much softer...
