It looks like the twist type hood pins can be used on the stock hood. I really like these type pins but why so expensive?

I just thought other folks would be interested.

These are very nice!!! I agree with you, they are a little too much cash. I wonder if the ones from Fang Performance are as nice?

WOW... $250.00 and you have to cut 3" holes in your hood... I'm not that rich and not that brave... However, they do look nice!

I emailed Fang Performance and they informed me that thier twist locks will not work on the stock hood. They are going to sell fake one though which are not for me. I'm going to email the seller on ebay for install instructions.

If you look closely at the parts shown in the pic, they look like they are the same as the original pins for the 70. These are still available from the big venders. If you get the repo parts they will run you about $150, the "original tooling" parts will total about $190.

Of course the trick is how to install these and I can't be sure they are the same but in theory they should work. Paul, can you please share the answer you got on you install instruction request?

Thanks, Drew

The twist lock pins were always chrome. I've never seen a set of SS ones, although if anyone can find them that would be great.

Here's a link for a vendor that makes the twist on pins. There porbably is a way to make these work on our cars.
