Trunk Blackout - Cost to paint?
I currently have an Ebay magnetic trunk blackout on my GT. I really like the way it looks, but it's very hard keeping the matte material clean. It seems like dirt wants to stick to it for some reason, maybe because it's rougher than paint.
For those of you who took the plunge and had the trunk panel painted black: how much did it run you? I'm assuming that a shop wouldn't have to paint the entire trunk, just the center section, correct? If you could post pictures of the finished product and tell how much it ran you that would be great.

does anyone have experience with this. because i want to flat black my hood, but am afraid with waxing. i need somehting to have a less glossy appearance, that isnt ruined if i hit it with the wax applicator.
car get dirty in the rear really easy....just wash it more often.

I'd go with the satin- I did my bumper bottoms/rockers,wing black basecoat with some special stuff from ppg that was supposed to 'flat out' the clearcoat like for bumpers and whatnot, but it still looks too glossy to me- eventually will be doing hood/lid, redoing the other stuff in satin- nex time no clearcoat, just a satin urethane and call it a day...
keep an eye on that thing- mines a year old and starting to crumble...be sure to pull and wax under once in a while- the chunks can stick pretty tight. mine was fine but over about a months time started shrinkingaround the emblem, went to pull it off and hard as a potato chip...guess the uv does something to it over time.
