I am wanting to remove all my GT badges and replace the deck lid fake gas cap with one from a V-6 with the tri-bar and pony. Does anyone know where you can get these? Besides ordering from Ford?

 

I'll bet someone may wish on a trade ? not me though as my new one says California Special Tri bar would look good I have a left & right to replace the GT fender badges but never used them.

 

They are inexpensive from Ford, plus they come with new/clean two sided tape to mount them. Removing the old one is simple, just heat up the emblem with a hair dryer or heat gun (soften up the adhesive) use some fishing line to cut thru the backing (or a body filler spreader), remove the emblem and clean the surface with an adhesive remover. Buying one someone has removed will leave you still needing adhesive tape to mount it to the trunk panel.

 

saleen sells the take-offs for about $10, new from ford is about $30 i think.
