OK I know others have done this, but the shear volume of threads sometimes it can be hard to find.

I just got me nerw tri-bar Pony fender emeblems from Mustangs Unlimited, com. I know the Source Mustang has these and a lot of your other guys have done this a well. Whats the best way to get the GT emblems off? I understand the GT emeblem is just on the fender with 3M tape so I guess if I warm it up with a hair dryer the tape will soften up and then maybe an old credit card to help peel it off the fender so as not to scratch the paint?

The New fender emblem has four pins on it I will have to cut off I guess, I dont think any of the pins lines up with the holes for the GT do they? Then I have to find me some 3M double sided tape somewhere.

Thanks in advance , I know you all are most awsome with help.

To take off the GT emblems, use the hairdryer technique (or just let the car sit out in the sun for a few hours) and then use a piece of floss and work between the emblem and the fender. Floss works pretty good... depending on what kind you have it may break. The tape kind works best. Really gets the stuff from between your teeth too.

As far as the posts on the tribar emblem... I left mine on and just drilled new holes in the fender. The way I see it... the fender already has holes in it anyway. What's another 3? And they will be covered up by the emblem anyway. This is also good for security reasons because people like to steal emblems off the sides and backs of cars. So, having the emblems attached to the fenders with just some 3M tape is not going to keep the little horses from trotting away, if you know what I mean.

Do the factory 06 Pony tribars have the same holes as the GT ones?? I would imagine they would.
