I ordered new rims today in 18 x 9, so now I need to buy new tires. I have done quite a bit of research and come up with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S as my choice......I think....??
The size I want is 255/45/18.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good tire or a tire that you have had a good experience with?
Also, does anyone have Michelin Pilot Sports that can tell me how you feel about them, if you would buy them again, are they worth the money, etc.
Thanks for any help!!

If you need all-seasons, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are pretty good. I put those on my 2000 Grand Prix GTP. Not as good in the rain as they claim, but other than that, pretty good. However, if you don't want an all season, the BFG GForce TA/KDW-NT's are awesome. Noticeably louder than the stock Pirelli's but excellent grip and handling. I then put Michelin X-Ice tires on the stock rims for the days I want to drive it in the winter.

I'm running 255/45/18 TOYO Proxes ST, on mine and they ride great. A little cheaper to buy and they should last a bit longer and not wear out as fast. (at least that is what I'm hoping) O love the tread pattern and the stick to the road like glue.

The KDW's are fine as long as you don't drive in ice or snow.
That being said, overall, I'm not happy with mine, but I'm probably the only one. At first they were VERY LOUD, but eventually, I either got used to them or the SLP LM's drowned them out, or the LM's caused a little hearing loss. Either way I don't notice the noise anymore.
Ever since I put them on my car has pulled to the left and it drives me crazy.
The performance improvements, IMO, have been minimal and some of that has to come from the fact that they're wider than the stock tires.
On the plus side, everyone loves the tread pattern.
Bottom line? I won't be buying another set to replace them when the time comes, but they're not so bad that I'm going to replace them early.
The best tire I've ever had (but this was about 5 years ago) was the Bridgestone Potenza (RE90, I think)

How do you know the tire is causing this and not the rim? This is the first I have heard of these tires causing the car to pull either way.
I don't think I am the only one that noticed a huge performance difference between these and the stock tires.

Those are definately nice tires. I'm sure my BFG's will last at least one more season but when the time comes to replace them, I might consider the Goodyears. I just hope they last longer than other goodyear tires I have had. Then again, that could have been due to my heavy foot.

Radial tire pulls should be warrantied up to 25% of treadwear under ride disturbance.
