? for those of you with hood scoops...
I'm really wanting to get a hood scoop to dress up the plain-jane look of my hood now but have a few concerns. I really don't want to cut or drill holes but I really want to know how reliable are the ones that attach only with 3M tape? I mean, if i'm cruising around 100mph is this thing gonna fly off and kill someone?
Anyone??

The two screws are needed. A small gap, between the tape and the hood or the scoop, can get a lot bigger if air forces it way in. I happen to have ordered one yesterday which require two screws to secure it. There is a valid point in not wanting holes but I prefer the holes rather than to risk the scoop flying off.
The alternative is an after market hood with the scoop built into it.

The shop that is installing my stuff right now recently installed a Xenon hoodscoop on a new 05. It only attaches with 3M tape. They followed the instructions to the T (very reputable shop). Needless to say, hood scoop lifted after a week. If I am going to put a hood scoop on my car I will definately get one that at least bolts on at the front. Putting 2 holes in the hood is worth it if you ask me.
