So the stock rim is 17x8 with a 45 mm offset. If I goto a 18x8.5 rim will I need to adjust the offset because of the wider rim? My understanding is that I would need a 35mm offset rim in this size? Is this correct? Does anyone have some forumla for calculating this?

The rims I want I can't find anywhere in a store (AZA Z8 is the rim from www.wheelmax.com). So I can't really test-fit them. They are deep dish rims and I don't want them to stick out. The guy I spoke to on the phone said the 35mm offset in 18x8.5 should fit fine.

Does anyone know about this fitment or has anyone tried aftermarket rims yet that can shine some light onto this topic?

Thanks a bunch
Rob

20mm is about an inch so 10mm is only about half an inch should be fine

It will stick out about 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch further. You will have to decide if that's too much for you.
