Tail Light Mod Question
I read in another thread about the posibility of painting the indentions between the three bars of the tailights black to add more contrast between the bars. I am wondering, is this possible, and if so, how would one go about doing this? Would there be a special paint to be used? What kind of prep work would be necessary for this? Thanks in advance for anyone who can offer any help in this matter.

However, if you wanted to paint them you could always tape off the sides and use model paint or an air brush.
Either way I think it looks nice. Just remember it is easier to remove pinstripe tape than the paint.

I agree that does look good, how reliable is that tape, because I used to have an 89 Saab 900 turbo, and I placed chrome pinstripe to set off the tails and it eventually ended up comming off, in only about a week or so
Chrome vinyl is considered "special application" vinyl. Most manufacturers only give a warranty if it is used indoors. 3M makes a chrome vinyl that has a 2 year outdoor warranty but is is extremely expensive.
KC, I need your help. I bought the chrome pin stripe and I could not get it to work. It just didn't look right. Did you remove the taillights when you did this? But heck, for 3.50 a roll. It was worth trying it.
