Has anyone seen any tail light metal trim for the '05? I was looking at a rear shot of a '65 compared with the '05, and I thought metal trim similar to the early Mustangs would be a nice touch.

 

Ahhh, my thoughts exactly!! I've been praying for one of the aftermarket companies to put out some retro style mods that mimick some of the chrome trim (back and front, like a chrome trim surround for the front grill) but no luck so far. There's a post (somewhere in this forum I think) that shows a front end photoshopped to look like a 67/68. Take a look for it, pretty cool l think.

I'm with you guys, As soon as I saw the new design I thought back to the 65 Mustang I had in High School. If an aftermarket company doesn't produce a 3 bar frame to surround the tail lights I intend to find a body shop guy who can fabricate one for me. I don't think it would be too difficult or expensive.

There are some out there, but I haven't been able to find them yet.
Saw them in a post on here about a guy would added a LOT of "do-dads" to his '05 V6 and that was one of them.
I'll try to find the post.
I'd like to get some and paint them black. Would look good on a white car with all the other black trim and tinted windows. i.e. my future car.
