T-Grey GT getting her stripes
She's in the process of getting her stripes, thought I would post some before and after shots. These are, obviously, before shots. My painter is letting me do some of the labor so I can save a few $$. I removed the spoiler and front and rear bumper covers. Disassembly was pretty straight forward. Probably the hardest thing was removing the spoiler. The double sticky tape that Ford uses is good stuff. Had to be very carefull not to crease the deck lid. Bumper covers were very easy, just make sure all the fastners are removed. Removed the front wheel well covers to gain access to four nuts. All in all took about 2hrs. If I did it again it would take half that. We came up with a unique color. It's a light metallic silver with some red and blue pearl that very subtley changes when viewed in the sunlight. There is some other components in it that I don't remember, seems these custom painter dudes are off in there own little world and come up with some great ideas. Can't wait to go put her back together next week, it's killing me not having her home!

You should have laid out the stripes before you took off the bumpers. Now you will have to put them back on to make sure you get the stripes to line up properly. I would trust this method more than using measurements. Good luck and can't wait to see final product!

Painter dude said he puts the bumper covers back on with a few fastners then lays out the stripes, guess its just his way of doing it, I'm not going to argue.
It's driving me crazy not having my car-and the weather has finally gotten nice!!
