Super Snake your Stang
Its a SS hood but it looks after market, the vents on the rear look too large. Both the KR & SS hood vents are small and spread out farther to the outer edges of the hood.
I know from comparing my Venom hood to the real KR hood at the Mid America Shelby Show in June the Truefiber vents are about 12% larger than the KR vents.

Who made that hood? Just looks like the Shelby SS hood.
THIS JUST IN!!!
yeah so i called shelby PP. and spoke to enrique in sales asking when the SS hood would be shipped as we all know i posted awhile ago it would be a few weeks from my last email he response was
" we just got wind about last week, that the RTM version is 6 months out atleast cause the fiberglass version hoods they kept getting werent fitting correctly".
Man this is frustarting to say the least he said they had fiberglass ones but it would take upwards of 20+ hrs prep time to get them to fit correctly.

Please tell me the Black version posted above me isnt a SS shelby hood and that it can be bought now!!!!

Made this thread for people who have made the Super Snake conversion or anybody who has questions about parts etc.
We're not talking Shelby GT 500's or the real deal here, here it's all about replicating the Super Snake look to your Mustangs.
You probably all know mine by now so lets see yours, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some more out there very soon.
I'll be posting some new pics as soon as I get mine back from the body shop after I put it back in for some extra detailing.
Thanks for your attention, Andy

You are right and this is the 1st Venom hood done and tested with the new style hood pins. Some of you made some "booger" comments in the past because of my old hood pin positions. They didnt look bad in my opinion, just different. And some of you went to say that my car fell from top of the list of favorites to the bottom. Well, its redemption time. This new version is alot easier to prep, work on and weighs less.

Well, after a 10 hour round trip road trip, I now have MY TruFiber Venom hood, version 3. Though I didnt take another look at it when I got it home, I did check it when I went to meet up with the guy who decided to sell it. It looks so good that I now realize how long a month or so really is since thats about how long till I get to actually start installing it for paint. It gave me a ton of piece of mind knowing I got a hood that seems to have alot of the previous problems (manufacturing or shipping) not a part of what looks to be a pristine hood.
When I get the chance in the next couple of days, I'm gonna try to take my stock hood off and do a 'test' fitting to see how much work will be necessary for it to fit right. When I do, I'll snap a few pictures, but I cannot tell you all in strong enough terms how badass this newest version of the Venom hood from Trufiber looks (though obviously, mellow's car shows it too). I owe a big debt of gratitude to the guy who sold it to me (he only has one, so dont waste your time asking), so THANKS YET AGAIN. When I get this and the front end painted and striped, you can bet I'll post the completed pics.
I do need to figure out what hood pins the hood was designed to use still though, so I can purchase them as well.
Andretti
So Mellow any update?
