Well I am interested to know if anyone has put on a strut brace as well as an engine cover. Is there enough clearance on most of these strut braces. I just ordered one of the ford racing strut braces, but also am interested in engine covers eventually. Just wondered if anybody on here had any brace with a engine cover yet. Thanks for any info.

I know HOTLAP (bradley ) has installed the engine cover and a strut tower brace as well.. I believe he made some notches in the cover though to provide clearance for the brace to fit over

I installed the Steeda single bar brace and used a washer(4) for spacing - fit fine. Without the washer, it fit but very tight on the top of the cover.

I installed both and they barely touched each other. Figured the brace would eventually make it's own notch if it needs one.

Ok, I'm thinking about installing one of these Strut braces, but I'm definately no machanic. This is gonna sound dumb! Now do I just need to un-bolt the two bolts on either side and bolt the brace back in? Nothing gonna fall off if I just remove the two bolts temperarly right? Thanks

What is the advantage of using a strut brace? Is rigidity noticably improved? Better handling? It may be just the thing for the 'vert...

It's not something for the Vert, It's for the GT is general. It stiffens up the front end some more for better turning and for launches. Also it's some under the hood eye candy...
