Stripes?
#1
I'm not too crazy about stripes on the cars these days, but I did see this one thread with this beautiful black stang' with these really dark grey stripes, almost not noticable.
I say I'm not crazy about the stripes on cars these days because of the simple fact that they go all the way down to the bumpers and all. Don't get me wrong, I have stripes on the car I have now, but they're not like the ones I see now-days.
I was wondering if I decided to get stripes when the car finally does come in, can I just get them on the hood and back end?
Anyone know?
Thanks for reading

You can have stripes done however you'd like... it's not like the stripes come on the car out of the factory.
IMO the stripes look better going all the way down the bumpers... but to each his/her own.

Take a look around. There are lots of '05's out there w/o the complete stripe package. Mostly because installers don't won't to go all the way down the bumpers. It's too hard for some of them.
Personally, I'm with the rest of these guys. I think they should go all the way down.
It's probably just what you're used to seeing. Looks like you're a Chevy guy. Mustangs traditionally have complete stripes unlike Checy's that stop at the edge of the hood.
Like everyone said, you can have it done any way you want. It's your money and your car. If I were you, I'd look at some of the REALLY wide stripes that stop before the edge of the hood and have a pinstripe around them. It's traditionally a Chevy look, but works pretty good on the '05.

Here's the type of wide stripes I was talking about.
Here's a link to more pics of the car.

And here's a link to my thread with tons of stripe pics.

The hood/trunk stripes that don't have that pinstripe outline and go off the edge of the hood/trunk without covering the bumper is what looks incomplete to me (kinda what Ford dealers offer). But that layout looks great.
