Thats awesome Silver! I'm drooling! I'm going to write down the info you provided in case I buy one.

Maverick, I suppose those are the Ford optional stripes? Talk about Ford going cheap ....

Yup those are the optional ones. Like I said, the salesman told me they came from Ford applied like that. I don't believe him because I don't think Ford would put out vehicles where it looked like the guy who applied the stripes used his teeth to trim them. That gascap was jagged.

max2000jp,

Yes, the stripes when under the spoiler, perfectly round the rear emblem (fake gas cap) to the bottom of the trunk lid no cuts, and also around the spoiler.....Bryan is good at what he does :worship: :worship:... I don't know how he does it but he doesn't use his teeth

I wanted stripes for a long time, but then I got to thinking...

I'm just going to let the Mustang speak for itself. This Stang doesn't need non-functional hood scoops or even stripes to stand out. The stripes are just cry for attention. I think I'd be embarassed of them after a year.

PS. Look at the caliber of people who drive cars with stripes. Usually white trash. I don't want to be associated with them.
I think the "goalie" has been hit a few too many times in the head with a puck. Stripes are classics that have been on numerous muscle cars throughout the decades. My favorite is the 3 stripe boss from, I believe, somewhere between the years of 67-70. Going to bring back that look on my torch 05 (but with paint).

Hmmmm.......I thought I would check out the site this evening since I am about ready to order my GT. Can't say enough about how useful this forum had been. Anyway, since I know I am probably going to be P'off with the election results, wanted to relax and read what you folks were up to. So...if I understand this. Stripes denote being "white trash" and a "redneck". Having grownup in Chicago but living the last 40+ years in the South, this certainly gives me a new perspective on things. In any event, I am older than the guy in his 40's who commented previously. Waited like 40 years for another Stang and going get the Screaming Yellow and put Black Stripes on the Baby. Gee...fiqured I would only be called Middle Age Crazy. On the serious side, I think this is what makes this car so great. It is special in different ways to different people whether your 18 or 58. Now, please pass the moonpies and RC Cola!

To Steve and others wishing to get stripes:

Bryan, who did the car posted by Steve on this forum, did my stripes this afernoon. It took him around 5 hours and he did a SPECTACULAR JOB!!!!! I can't say anything but great things about Bryan!!

As soon as the sun pops out again, I will get pictures and post them here. I have the Black GT and I went with Charcoal Metallic stripes (to match the Bullitt wheels) and it looks simply amazing!

Thanks again to Steve for originally posting the pictures of the Silver GT bryan did in Grand Haven and a special thanks to Bryan for a job well done!!!!!

Mike
