I've been toying with the idea of having some custom side stripes done up for my '05 'vert based on the style of the factory stripes used on the Ford GT (Thick dual stripes w/ lettering in a lozenge in the center) I was thinking of this style with either "MUSTANG" or simply "FORD" done in white for my Torch 'vert.

I think it would look good and also not be one everyone has.

Think it would look good with FORD. "MUSTANG" might be a bit too large.

Maybe go the whole way and add two stripes to the top as well.

Good idea -- I say go for it. I would use "Ford", or even the pony emblem (in an oval perhaps?), but probably not "Mustang".

Took this and put the FORD in:
[attachmentid=32087]

(Ok, flipped it to make it easier to put that in )

It still looks a bit large. I like the pony idea, but I've also seen that on a (thin-thick-thin) 3 piece rocker stripe. White on a WVB, looked good.

I think that looks good. Different from what alot of others are doing. Good individualistic style, fitting for the car. A touch of reto and current styling. Great idea.

Thanks for the chops guys. I think I'm going to go for it as soon as I can locate a good custom vinyl shop
