Stripe Color Suggestions

I've been considering adding a Baltimore street mods superstripe hood only and rocker panels. The only problem is I'm not sure on what color would look the best. I don't really want black as I believe it is way over-used on silver cars. My car is a Satin Silver gt with all stock body components, minus tail light black outs. It has the red leather interior, which I have considered matching the stripes to the interior. Pictures with color combos would be great. Thanks.

Hello fellow Satin Silver owner,

My kit is from Baltimore Street Mods. Here area couple pics. I think the color was called slate metallic. It's very close to Tungsten Grey.

Blue is another color that looks good on silver a'la GT500KR. I prefer the subtle look I have, and may go a shade or two lighter when I have them painted on.

I have plenty of pics, so let me know if you want more.

I too can vouch for the Baltimore StreetModsKit. Top notch quality and the owner is really nice to work with. Mine are 10" charcoal metallic with a 2" gap.

Hey you copied...LOL I thought about blue as well but "chickened out" at the last minute and went with something "safe". I ended up deciding to get the slate gray metallic but it was a close call between that and the Charcoal metallic. The vinyl guy that I used (who had his own custom vinyl shop) asked where I had gotten the kit and said that it was very good vinyl and was a good kit. So you can add another vote for Balt. street mods here as well

Since you don't want black, I would go with a different shade of gray like exgto pointed out. Ofcourse metallic would be a must so something like dark charcoal metallic, slate metallic, pewter metallic, etc.

Howdy DW!

Yes, that's an Astra Hammond splitter on there. It's a great piece if you are considering a splitter/spoiler. Sorry I have not updated my mod list in quite some time, got tired of trying to keep up with myself.

I vote for charcoal or dark silver. Blue would be killer, but not with red interior...

Exgto I like your stripes, and agree with you that a couple shades lighter would look even better. And the blue sounds like a good idea, but like Backafter said it wouldn't go with the red interior. I don't suppose anyone could photo chop some color schemes on a silver gt could they ? Maybe a light grey, a red, and maybe white. Thanks.

This was the tool everyone used back in '05 to figure out what to do with stripes.
