Stratched Bumper?

Folks,
Somebody with a death wish did a light surface stratching back and forth under my driver's headlight on the bumper. It appears to have not broken the surface of the paint or bumper but it is noticable. What product is out there that I can use to lift the surface marks off and not damage the soft texture of the bumper or clearcoat? Too bad we can't have guns in Germany...aaaarrggghhhhh ! Cheers

Try Meguiars Scratch X. Apply a few coats if necesary. I have had some luck with this. I won't say that it will completely remove the scratch but it will lessen the severity if it is just a surface scratch. If you really want to live dangerously you can try rubbing compound but I have never personally tried this.
Go Gators!

I'll see if my local AAFES outlet has some, have used their wax before. As for rubbing compound, no, that would prob be too rough for the surface. Someone else rec using a jewelery or glass polish. We'll see. Just wait until next year Gator!

Flitz is a really light abrasive. Safe for use on plastic lenses, etc. Or, maybe its time for a GT 500 fascia?

Yep - the Scratch X is good stuff - it may take a few applications, then a good coat of wax.

It has reduced some minor scuffs / scratches to the point that I am the only one who knows they are there and (now) it even takes me a little while to find them...

I used the scratchX before as well. I will vouch for it's abilities. Scratches that were not too deep were greatly lessened.

Wonder if I can buy the Strach-X on line? Do you use a towel to put on, by hand? Cheers

Even better and cheaper than Meguiar's Scratch X is Kit's Scratch Remover...comes in a bright yellow bottle...use it with a damp cloth...it works like a champ and absolutely safe on your clearcoat finish. Turtle Wax also makes a scratch remover that is similar to Kit's...either will work fine.
When you're done, go over it with Meguiar's #2 Polish and then follow it up with your favorite wax...the #2 polish will really add some gloss.

I have always just used a towel and have done it by hand. I'm sure you can find it somewhere online. I just purchased mine at Wal Mart but I'm not sure if that's an option for you.
And I can always wait till next year when we win 15 out of 17.
