$650

I've seen the whole SS kit for only a couple of hundred more!!

Looks good though, but a little too pricey. Heck you can put a chinsplitter on the stocker and basically have the same front end for about $400 cheaper.

I guess it boils down to if the individual is willing to pay extra for and extra set of dinky little lights and a slot for brake cooling.
Theres always something for less if you shop around. You will also find something for more if you shop around. It all depends what you are looking for. Our piece unlike the Street Scene piece was designed to improve the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

The Mustang is not very aerodynamic to begin with. The Street Scene piece is a great looking piece, but from an aerodynamics standpoint isnt doing anything to help create downforce or clean up the undercar airflow. Our piece will do both. Not to mention the extra provision to run brake cooling ducts if desired. That's what our piece is about. Functionality.

The lights for this kit are from Hella and they are considerably brighter than the factory headlights.

Yeah and if Steeda charges roughly $8 for a little piece of aluminum that could be put into a padded envelope with a few stamps (the billet power plug in the dash), imagine the shipping charge for that bumper cover

Thanks for the kind words everyone!!

Now that I have updated information I wanted to post the correct information on pricing and availability.

We will have this piece in stock Mid-February 2006. The fascia will come complete with the fog light kit, wiring, switch, etc.

Pricing will be 649.95. Part number is 555-0500.

We should have this part on the site by the end of the day for pre-orders.
Gus
That's a lot of cheder, but if it comes with the Fog Light kit I guess it's good to go, and a Hella kit at that.

I am sorry if the charge you saw for the item you ordered was more than you expected. As a company we prefer to not ship parts with no insurance or no tracking. No matter how small.

The raw cost of shipping out of the UPS book isnt the only cost in shipping. There is a cost to everything. From the packing materials, to paying the person to pick the part and put it in the trailer, to the very ink and paper for the shipping label. Everything adds up. We have to cover those costs or we will become one of the many companies who you would find in the magazines 5 years ago, but are no longer around today. Pick up an MM&FF from 5 years ago and look at one today and you will see many companies that are no longer around to service their customers.

Even when sending a package US mail as an individual the raw cost is more than just what you pay the postal worker taking your money at the counter. Even if the box and packaging materials you had laying around from a previous order you made or use newspaper as packing materials you did pay for those materials one way or the other. Most people dont give it a second thought but when you add everything up it does cost more than you would tend to think.

Just out of curiosity, how did you test to improve the aerodynamics? Wind tunnel, computer analysis, real life tests? Also, how did you measure the downforce, and at what speed? How did this compare to a stock 05 bumper? How do these numbers compare if you do or don't run the brake ducts?

And for what it's worth, you have, by far, the best looking aftermarket bumper for the 05+ i've seen

I think it looks great w/ the integrated splitter and all.

What ever happened to the shorter splitter that was advertised for the S197? The one that was not as low as the standard Steeda splitter? It was available in black gelcoat and carbon fiber....those looked really good

Hey Gus, this is kinda off topic, but is there any news on the inlet tube for the 05 intakes?

Last I heard was early 06?

I give it two up! Very nice. I'd say it ties with the Street Scene bumper as my favorite out there.

The supplier we had for these pieces closed shop, so we have to find a new source. We will have the fiberglass version back in stock probably early next week. The carbon fiber piece may take some time.
