Does anyone know if you can get Steeda Ultralites (chrome) for less than $399 a wheel? Thanks!

Something tells me you are going to have a hard time finding them cheaper than they are on the Steeda web site.

Yea, I tried looking around for a week before I ordered mine. They are also on about an 8 week backorder...been waiting 5 for mine already. But, I definately think it will be worth the wait.

they are light and nice. if i was in the market for 18s, i'd sure be inclined to get them.

i think what is in effect here is MAP pricing. in retail, there is a thing called minimum advertised pricing- MAP. did you ever wonder why even wal-mart doesn't super discount sony playstation 2s and there games? and xbox? sometimes when you have leverage which sony and microsoft do, they can do MAP pricing. they set the price. i think steeda has done the same here.

it boils down to the business selling a product at a certain advertised price or they will not be able to sell it at all. if the item is sold at a lower price, there is heck to pay. i'd think the fines for violating MAP pricing would run into the millions of dollars.

i'm not an expert in MAP pricing, but i do know for certain it does exist.

I like those wheels too, but at one time I checked with Steeda and found they were much heavier than the stock bullitts. I stent them a e-mail and they responded, but I didn't like the answer and didn't keep the info.

I'm not sure what Steeda's rules are, but a lot of the time with MAP products the retailer is allowed to give small discounts to a customer, they just can't advertise the lower price. That's why so many internet companies say "Call for best price." Call (or email) around to some of the places you've been looking at. Hey the worst they can do is not offer a discount.

That is correct! They can sell them for whatever price they can get, but they can only advertise at a set price. Ever see the adds showing "Call for best price"? That is the same. They cannot advertise at a lower price. They don't want to scare off the customers, so no price listed and a note to call for best pricing.

I wish I could find the FR500's in an 18x10 for the rear at the correct offset. I have been looking for them in black like yours, but I want to pop a 295 on the rear. Everything I have found have been for the "other" years... and not ours.

There aren't any out there. The ones I have are brand new. With as long as it took for them to come out with these, (they're made by Wheel Replicas) I would assume it will be a LONG time before they make any 18x10's.
