My comments were not personal as I clearly said it was "nothing personal" .. Secondly, with taxes and all, to get a Mustang GT in Canada its about 40 grand out the door ( as I intend to buy my car with cash money, no payments which I have investigated).. So hence, putting ricer add-ons IMO opinion make the car look like it's worth half of the value of the vehicle..

The comment wasn't steering at you directly ( and if it seemed like that way to you I explicitly said it wasn't personal) , but steering more to the ricer 13 year old gangsta rap generation .. Which is comedic to most, and definitely a look that won't last the many decades the muscle car look has endured over the past century ..

I'm glad in Canada there is ALOT less ricers than in the states, one of the many great things about living here...

Good luck with your car, sincerely ..

Looks good man.

And dang domainer...dial the meds down a notch.

The great thing about the Mustang, and one of its original selling points, is that it can truly be YOUR mustang. And the very specific things that John has done/will do to his car will make the car his own.

So I hope you remember your own post when you post the pics of YOUR Stang up for approval.

Exactly Steve....thanks for the props bro...I figured I'd get some negative comments from some people as the wing looks very different from anything most people have seen on '05's to this point. I like the change and it comes off much better in person then it does in the pics...I don't expect to get any negative comments from people who see it up close in real life...anyway, really nothing personal taken Rob, just feel like people can give their two cents to others on here about their cars without going overboard and I think you made a point to go above and beyond with the devalued comments and how you wouldn't do it if you were paid to...but it's okay. I'm not gonna hate on you because of it..I expect many people will do things to these stangs that won't be liked by everyone....as long as the owner is pleased that's all that matters....thanks for everyone's input on this (good and bad), as I just had it done and am still making my own mind up about the change....I think that once more stang wing swaps are done that people will change their minds that may not like it as much now...time will tell.... Hey Domainer-

Look. I know you are a noob and all, but stop bashing. Here is what you should have said.

"Hey swingle, I like the other mods you have done to your car, I just don't think I like the spoiler, maybe if you took the ends off it would look better. See ya."

But instead, with less than 20 posts you come on here and bash a VERY helping member of our community which you so infringed on. I urge you to go back to your hole and continue worshipping Captain Kirk. As for me, I am going to say that I may not agree with swingle's decision on the wing, but I love the rest of his car and to keep us updated on his asphalt destroying GT.

So, if you don't have anything useful to contribute to this forum, this forum doesn't have anything useful to give you. Maybe you should just use the search function and keep your inappropriate comments to yourself rather than injecting your wonderful "personality" into the forums.

Rock on swingle (just felt like saying that)

EDIT: Wow, so many replies at one time. Take my comments for what you will, just know I have read the posts right before this AFTER I wrote my original message.

Hey Swingle! All I did Was Post a Picture Of My Bullit Wheels with the v6 3 prong spinners and a Guy told me I had disgraced the Heritage of the car with my Mutant Wheels! Later he Made reference The James Bonds Tire Shreading Knock Off's So I guess Tact is A Commodity in as short supply as an IUP! Check out bullit vs Upgrade Wheels in exterior Mods if so inclined! I had a Guy Backing me up on the Comments and They Had a Bit of a Shooting Match Also! Well you Know who your Amigo's Are! Hang loose! KC

My opinion is that the wing belongs on a Civic. Your other mods make the car look awesome, but this one definetly detracts from the otherwise clean mods done to the car. It's your car though, so if you like it, who cares what I or others think. I personally would never put this wing on my car cause it serves no function.

Hey swingle,
Please dont take this the wrong way, I'm the guy who stood up for KC and his mutant tire shredding 007 wheels that are a discrace to the mustang nameplate.
Here is the deal for me, love your car and all the info you are sharing with us, I have been following your car since the first day i joined this forum, this is the first thing that i really dont care for, when you said you were going to do it, i looked at the wing and thought it would look good, now that it is on the car, it is just not doing it for me, it just does not go with the cars look, your other future plans sound awesome, very simular to mine actually, except i will probably go with the ductail or blackout the stock spoiler, and go the blackout mach1 route with the shaker of course!!
I hope you take this as constructive criticism, there is something just to modern about that wing on your car, if this were me and it will be as soon as my car gets here, I will welcome criticism and opinions because it may make me see something i did not see before or think it out a little more to be sure i love it as much as i thought i did, but in the end it does not matter what anyone thinks as long as you love what you did, and the cars makes you happy............keep the mods coming, and pound some asphalt for while i am waiting for my STANG...Merry Christmas.

yes that might look pretty cool, maybe make it a little more subtle, I dont hate the wing at all, seems like it just to wide and set back to far, for the 05 rear end.
How about some aluminum colored ghost flames coming up the side to match the winglets, and then bullitt style rims with the high polished edges, might all flow together nicely, just a thought.......later

Not my cup of tea, but perhaps with side skirts and chin spoiler, carbon-fiber hood - it would be interesting to see how it shapes up. As long as your happy with the result, that's all that counts

BTW - why the all the hate for the factory spoiler?

Thanks racer...I dunno why all the hate for the factory....just blends in with the body too much...thought it should have come up a bit higher like my '69 Fastback's did....just seemed to blend in with the body too much....blacking it out might have worked for me to help distinguish it some more....still would have wanted some height so I went aftermarket. There's gotta be a reason so many people are going for the spoiler delete, right?....I'll do my best to get some more paintwork done by February.....should make a difference......later bro....

Congrats but to me it doesn't look right on the car. Looks too big, kinda ricer-ish!

I think that Steeda wing looks cool. I also think that as soon as you put a chin spoiler on there it will look even better since it should even out the car. Anyway, don't let the haters get ya down. Your Mustang looks sharp!

Should look much like this one when I'm done....with the front splitter painted redfire and the hood blacked out exactly like this one...same wing on both cars....

Oh Yeah...that looks real sweet, even the wing looks good at that angle, real nice car, I have seen this chin spoiler before, does it have the very big horizontal surface that is closest to the ground?

What about if all the black areas were semi flat black, including the back of your car and wing section.....and then to top it off, a scoop!
shaker? or a 69 type perhaps?
