ssinserts.com grille

http://www.ssinserts.com/index.php?m...7832e305eca517

Anyone have this or have any experience with their grilles? Im been looking for a black billet grille for my car and this one seems to fit what I want and the price is pretty decent so Im thinking about giving it a shot but was wondering if anyone has one of these on their car and what they think of it?

I had a grille similar to that, the CDC one and it looked nice if you want to keep the fogs.

Thats for the heads up about them. I havent heard anything (good or bad) about them and have never personally ordered from them so its good to hear some feedback (even if it is negative).

They also sell some on ebay, which are pretty good quality. One of my buddies has had one for over two years and it is holding up wonderfully!

Yes, the overlay grille is available in black. This one is not from SS Inserts, but they are available. As far as SS Inserts as a vendor, I have ordered some interior pieces from them, and never had an issue. Quick accurate service. However, I have read of some others having issues. You can also check mrbodykit for grille overlays as well.....

im not saying that you shoudnt order from them, but ive heard from a couple people that "they said they will match any price. so someone found a cheaper price and the customer service told that person "so why dont you just go and buy it from them" in a rude tone"

so i have no idea if they are actually bad.

love the black grille though

If I get the the black version of those overlays without the center pony cutout, would I be able to mount the tri-bar pony anywhere on the overlay grille?

How would an overlay work if the pony isn't cut out? Wouldn't there have to be a bulge in the overlay for it to fit right?

That's what I thought, but according to the website, and many other stores that sell that same part, no certainly true. Although, I haven't seen one in person, so I can tell you the truth. All I know is they are out there, and you can find them on ssinserts.com as a matter of fact. If you click on the grille overlays and open the page up, then click the drop down box on the page for options it says with pony/without pony...and black and polished are options.

That is weird. You can't even see the pony thru the overlay.

Yep, my thoughts exactly...and it's not like you can remove the stock grille, because there's no way in hell that billet grille replacement is going to support the GT fog lights. Oh well...I may just end up going with the CDC Black Billet Grille that eliminates the fog lights, even though I don't want to. There's nothing else on the market that catches my eye like that CDC one does.

Thats what I have right now, except silver. I picked it up for a great price on these forums. There's no way I would drop 300 on it.
