Is this spoiler the Ford part?

I posted this question in a couple of threads but I figured I would start a new thread to try and get a straight answer. So, does anyone know if this is the OEM spoiler or an aftermarket piece?

http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...oducts_id=1895

Also, has anyone ever ordered from this company? I don't want to be the first and get burned. This is considerably lower in price than KC's price (sorry bro.) TIA

Looks like it to me, but call them and ask. SHM is widely known for their performance parts and crate engines. I can't recall ever hearing anything negative about them.

Well, I just ordered it. I guess I'll find out if this is too good to be true later this week or early next week. Keeping my fingers crossed here.

I was contacted the day I ordered it stating that it's on back order. He told me it would be about a 2 week delay. Hopefully next week I'll get some good news. Sorry to not keep everyone updated. I'll try better.

UPDATE:

I contacted the company yesterday to get an update and I was told they're still waiting for it to come in. I'm getting anxious with this. Ugh.

It's got to be identical to the Ford part numbered spoiler. I got the Shelby GT500 hood with the Ford Racing part number and it is identical to the hood with the Ford part number (only about $140 cheaper). I'm not sure why Ford markets like this but as long as it's cheaper, I'm all for it..!

The same thing with my wheels. They are technically "Ford Racing", but are THE OEM wheels. In fact, they are stamped with a Ford part number (6R3Z..., or whatever it is)

From their site:

Original equipment on the 2007 Mustang GT500, fits 2005-07 Mustang GT, fits into existing Mustang GT spoiler bolt holes. No driling equired when installed on Mustang GT with factory spoiler
"No driling equired" Yes, that's the way it reads on the site.

I thought that the Shelby GT spoiler required you to drill extra holes

I'm pretty sure that the GT500 spoiler uses just the 4 holes the GT spoiler does. I know that there are a couple of aftermarket ones (DG Custom for example) that require the drilling of extra holes.

No extra holes needed. It's a direct bolt-on as long as you already have an OEM spoiler....

Ok. I found the thread that made me think it required extra holes http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showpo...2&postcount=32
As you stated, it's the DG Custom one. I just assumed that the factory one was the same.

That's good news for those want this look without wanting to drill extra holes.

Thanks.

Finally

UPDATE FOR ALL THAT ARE STILL INTERESTED:

I finally got this part in. It is in fact the OEM piece and it looks great. I got it painted through my brother's friend and it looks great on the car. I have to get some pics up for you guys, I know.

So if you're looking for the GT500 spoiler and want to save some bucks, you should go through Sean Hyland Sports. Granted it took a long time but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was back ordered. It did eventually come in and the part was as described.

Wow... You have some patience. Over 5 months? I don't think that I'd wait 5 months for anything... Heck, my car only took 6 weeks... Glad you like it.
