Has anyone here converted a mustang from a spoiler to a ducktail? I know ducktails leave holes from where the spoiler was. Is there something out there that will seal and plug the holes left over? I think I could live with some plugs that can be painted to match the paintjob of the car. I'm mostly wondering because I'm thinking of buying a used mustang, but most of them have the spoiler. It'd be nice to know there's something that covers the holes. I've seen one that has metal brackets to plug the holes and it looks ugly.

I've seen two options on this.
1. Have the holes welded and painted. Acadian did this http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?ac...ndpost&p=387825
2. Find someone with the same color stang that would be willing to swap their trunk for your trunk. There's a thread on here about a Canadian guy who had it swapped at a Ford dealership in upstate New York.

Talk about a big pain in the hiney though . . . . to have to swap a deck lid or have a body shop fill the holes in. Should have just gotten the spoiler delete option. ![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

You mentioned plugging them up.
Go over to the Corral or StangNet and look in the 99-04 sections. There are several posts telling how to plug up the holes and what to use. No spoiler delete option back then so a lot of guys were doing this.

That's the exact thing I don't like. Those metal supports look tacky and ugly.

The rear ducktail that Keanen makes for Blow By Racings BBR LNR kit covers the factory holes also. I'll finally be posting pictures next weekend, Weather Keanen finishes the rear bumper cover or not, If we have to go without the rear cover, we're finishing this car next week, either with the rear cover or without. If nothing else we'll paint and put the rear cover on later, when Keanen finishes.

Those things from CDC are not supposed to look cool guys :nono: . Seriously, even though on their website they call it a "nifty hole filler", it's just a cheap easy solution to get people by.

Have you seen 3D Carbon's ducktail from the thread on the external mods?
