So...like i said. If you get the spoiler delete, you are getting LESS physical car, for your money. And hence, ripped off. Why can't they just give it to you in a bag or something.
Literally speaking it is less physical car, but the rear wing is a physical entity that I could do without so I could care less if my '05 didn't come with it. I don't feel like I got "ripped off". Look at a few '05's with and without the spoiler and decide which one you want.

I just don't understand why it's OK for them to not credit you for removing it, but NOT OK for you to opt to get it later for free? Kinda unfair that the cost only moves in 1 direction.

I had a spolier before on a car, and the paint on it faded quicker then the paint on my car, so it started to look kind of funny after a couple of years.

Something to consider anyways...........
Had the spoiler on a Chrysler Laser and the paint started going bad very quickly (within first year). Took it in to the dealer and got chewed out because it was a sign I was using the spoiler as a handle when opening the trunk. In case you don't know it, that's a NO-NO.

So I'm spoiler delete because I like the look better, but if you go with it, don't use it to raise and lower the trunk with!

It may have been a marketing vs. assembly tradeoff. It is an extra "Thing" to deal with on the line.(Assembly plants HATE extra things) . I'm comfortablel with my deal.......again to each their own....I'm glad for the option B)

It's all about personal perference. I'm getting my 05 without the spoiler because I think the car looks a lot cleaner without it.

Why are you individuals getting the spoiler deleted? I see no benefit but if you do please respond. The Mustang looks a lot better with one.
I like the clean look without the spoiler better. Since the spoiler is for looks only, isn't an airfoil and isn't functional, but adds weight and drag. B)

Plus, every time you turn around you see cars with spoilers... even my mom's 4 cylinder Camry has a spoiler!

It would be nice to be able to order a Mustang without the spoiler installed, but get it separately... Ford doesn't give a credit for the 'delete option' so it would be nice to have the spoiler if you want to add it later.

If for no other reason it takes away from everything that this car is supposed to be. It's a retro design. With a spoiler? I'm not a fan of any spoiler on any car. They serve absolutley no function. They look cheezy.
It adds a cluttered look to the car. If you like it. That's your preference.
That is why Ford is offering it. Enough people have expressed an interest so that is why it's offered. Heres a question. If Ford offered no spoiler, would you still get the Stang? This is my opinion. I'm not slamming anyone for liking it. This is just the way I see it for me.

I ordered my GT with one. But, recently, I saw pics on this website showing the 05 without the spoiler, and IMO, it looks pretty good. My GT is already built and on the way. Can I remove the spoiler? Thanks...

Personally I like the spoiler, but......I'd rather have a ducktail on the 05

Ok everyone needs to calm down here. I proposed this question just to get feedback not to make everyone fired up . If you like the spoiler great and if not then that is stupid just kidding haha. If you don't like it that is fine too.

I didn't say it wasn't nice either way, i just think it's silly to give Ford something for nothing. If they can charge you to add one at some later date, then you should get some kind of credit for opting out of it. Or, just make ADDING the spoiler, the option.

youre like the energizer bunny, you just keep going and going....

i dont think anybody getting the spoiler would want to pay extra for it, and everybody not getting the spoiler doesnt mind not getting credit for it. everybody has given you reasons why it was perfectly fine, but you dont seem to take any of it in consideration

meh

I don't like wings on cars, would much rather have a ducktail type spoiler. The wing is retro in the look from the 69 and 70 Boss 302.

The other thing about the spoiler delete is if you want to put something else on like a ducktail, you now have some holes in your trunk lid that have to be filled, sanded and painted and I would rather not deal with that. If I want to add a wing or other spoiler, I can add the holes.
