I am trying to decide if I want to delete the spoiler from my order. I am thinking hard about eventually going to a ducktail. But that would be further on down the road after I got the performance mods done on the GT.

Don't do it man! The spoiler adds so much! Seriously though, if you plan to make changes pretty soon, then you probably should delete it...but if it's going to be a while before you can, I'd keep it. I'm sure you would be able to unload the original on someone when you change out!

If you are going to put a ducktail on later the go with the Delete! If you put the spoiler on and then do the ducktail later then you have to fill the holes! I have just about decided I like mine without a spoiler!

Your call bud! Mine has the spoiler (and yes, I went through the same "to delete or not to delete???? That is the question" bit as you). If Ford offered an spoiler/spoiler delete/ducktail option set, then the ducktail would have won hands down.
What finally convinced me to keep the spoiler was two fold: 1) I WANT my car to be a bit different than the V6 cars. It's the principle of the thing! And 2) The spoiler would cost me several hundred bucks if I went to Ford to buy it so I could install it later. What the heck. I can always fill the holes in the future. Heck, the ducktail will have to be painted anyway....

delete is the way to go
the rear end of this Mustang is quite large to begin with, and with the spoiler, it adds a few more inches to the overall height of the rear end makes it appear even bigger IMO
w/out the spoiler, the rear flows much better, TBO, I think a Mustang w/out a spoiler might be less common than one with, definitely with the GT!

You have to ask yourself a couple of questions, as the spoiler delete does not reduce the cost of the vehicle, how much would it cost you to get the spoiler if you do not order it with the car, IMO get the spoiler, if you want to go to the ducktail later some simple body work will fix the decklid, and you will have the stock spoiler on hand as well ....

Yeah that is what I am thinking now

Yea, I had the same problem, I guess as there was no cost change to get or not get the spoiler, that is what made up my mind..
