A $12 quote... sounds like they were quoting you the generic rubber splash guards. Those retail at like $14 and fit anything.
Then I am guessing they would work on the Shelby GT?

No. The Shelby GT uses the stock rear bumper cover.

I just put some on mine this weekend because After seeing all the dead leaves and junk that gets thrown up on the sides of the car when it rains.

I was concerned with all the gravel they put on the roads in the winter here. The splash guards should save my paint. I'm taking them off when winter is over though.

Mudflaps are for trucks. When you put them on a Mustang they look :gay:

Say what you want about splash guards. I don't know where you live, but where I live, the roads aren't very good AT ALL, and there are ALOT of stones that come flying up. Now, after having them on my car, the sides of my rear bumper are always clean and take no effort to clean anymore.

I gotta agree with Jeff- where I live, splash guards or "mud flaps" are a necessity 9 months outta the year. Call them what you want, that's fine with me. Besides, I know people that think building Saleen clones is :gay: .......

Didn't we have this exact same "discussion" a few months ago?
And I'll keep my opinion of the Saleen rear end to myself.

If you buy the molded mud flaps I suggest you trim the lip on the inside bottom edge or it will hold dirt, mud, snow ,ect...ect...ect.

That and you could use some clear silicone to help it a little more as well. I am not crazy about mud flaps but if they have some molded ones that will keep that crap off the side of my black car I would definitely consider it. Besides on a black car you would hardly see them...but the dirt you definitely see!

But the black is so worth it to me....

They're even hard to see on my white car. They just blend in with the tires.

That is why I really like the moulded ones. You barely notice them with my car being blue, and the tires being, of course, black.

This Thread Proves It

This thread proves that Ford should not sell Mustangs too "REDNECKS"

Noiw now..there is no need for name calling.I figure this thread is what it is and instead of tearing up our paint jobs with sand and gravel during the winter months a pair of mud flaps is money well spent.
One thing bothers me about your objectification, making comments like that will leave you wide open to cheap shots, isolation and maybe even a recomendation for some counseling.Good luck.

I put SVT rims on my Focus. I wish I had put the molded mudflaps on, those 215-45-17 tires sandblasted the paint off my lowers in about 6 months.

Im putting them on my 05 as soon as I get around to it.

Just like the guy above said, name calling isn't going to get you brownie points on this site. All it can do, is lead to reprocusion.
