id like to install splash guards on my stang, my dealer says only rear available????
anyone know where or have installed front flaps on thier stang? pics would be good if possiable thanks for the help

While Ford only Offers Moulded Flaps for the rear. They Do Offer Flat Flaps which can be used Front and Rear. Page 7 of the 07 Accessory Book. While it says Rear only they can be trimmed and Used in the Front for a Matched set.

Even though it's not for me, many people like the look. Once again, this isn't a sports car. It's a muscle car. Look back at the older muscle cars. you'll see flaps. Next time you dislike someone's mod, don't be so harsh. Personally, I've seen many mods that look nasty on the Mustang and the flaps are not one of them. Oh, JMHO!

here is a pic of Mark's car... it is actually a very sublte mod and isn't garish or tacky like Yosemite Sam or Trucker Girl mudflaps. I think that with the small ear on the front of the rocker panel, front flaps of any kind are not needed.
I put the rear ones on my '05 Sonic Blue GT several months ago and immediately noticed a HUGE improvement in keeping the back clean. I live in a subdivision that is currently expanding and the blacktop roads get really dusty. Before installing the molded mud flaps on the rear (I purchased from 05StangKC),
I couldn't get more than 100 yards away from the house before the back end had crap on it. I drive my car alot (currently over 50,000 miles on it), and believe me when I say this was one of the best and cheapest mods I have done!
Now to find raised white letter tires to complete the look.................

I picked up a set of molded flaps for my convertible today. I find it interesting that people are commenting about them not being consistent with the look of a muscle car. Having lived through all of the muscle car era, I definately remember almost every muscle car in the 60's and early 70's had flaps of one sort or another.
If you look at the Stang in the comment before this one, you can't even see the flaps and wouldn't even notice them if you didn't know they were there. Look at the shot on the left!
Flat vs. molded? My experience is flat ones tend not to hold up too well in the long term.

Anyways Denny, I like the look of mine (moulded & painted) but they're not for everyone. What you can't really see in the picture (because they're so obscure) is a set of flat Canadian Tire (Pep boys in U.S. speak) mud flaps, $5.00 for the pair. You DO NOT have to drill holes in the wheel well. Just simply remove the two black plastic push pins that hold up the lower rocker panel at the front end of the car. They're just behind the front wheels. Then, chalk the two holes in the rocker where it meets the body and press the thin black mudflap to where you want it. Then, drill out 2 holes on the chalk marks and re-install the push-pins right through the mudflap into the rocker. Voila !!! Mudflaps installed, can't really see them....and no drilling. Like the other guys with flaps said, not a single stone chip front or back as the result of road stone flareup.
