As others have said awesome work. I've done a lot of solder and harness work and I'm very impressed with what you've done.

mustangpowers - I havent had a chance to write out the details yet but heres all the HQ that I have right now (http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ne%20Rewiring/) As of right now, its looking like I will be doing this to another car relatively soon(hopefully by or my spring break or over the summer) and will be making a full step by step pictorial! Another option which im exploring right now is making plug n play harnesses!

Deric - thanks for the props Deric! Ill more than likely be following your DIY and changing my interior lights soon as well

Same here - if you were in CA, I'd pay you to do this to my car!!! Maybe if I get a beater next year, I'll tackle this myself.

OK between all the forums there is a large interest in drop in harnesses. So I am no considering making but I am going to be making them. Money and free time permitting by summer if possible. If I can make them for a reasonable price and can get enough people to commit then I will see if I can get a group order together to have a lot made. Otherwise Ill just do it on an order by order basis.

Wow, That is really impressive. It looks like a concept version or something along those lines. Very nice job indeed.

I'm impressed! I thought I was the only one insane enough to do something like this. You've taken yours a few levels above what I did, and I like it a lot. Mine left everything in the original location (except the battery) and I was more interested in a clean up than hiding everything. You've heard from Eagle Stroker, who has been very interested in mine also. I did this 3 years ago and did a little paint / tubing work while I was at it:

Exactly. And the fact that I have someone that has done this local is really going to help me take the jump! Still got a long way to go to compare to ^ that though! The hard lines have to be my favorite touch, I've been slowly piling parts together for this it just takes time.

ya know...I saw the 'did a little cleanup' thread a few days ago, never bothered to check it out till now...

DUDE- that is a frickin excellent looking execution of a brilliant idea- a rare combination!
seriously, I never dreamed there was this much room under the hood did you get a vented marine battery box for the trunk or go with a optima or other sealed unit? any noticeable difference in cold cranking with the longer cables? any trouble routing battery leads underneath? sorry, a million questions- but man that looks great...would make me want to pull the engine to paint or polish it

but, without breaking out the manuals, got another question- airbag sensors/controls- are they part of the PCM or do they have their own 'box'? I just ask as I *think* some of the airbag firing stuff might detect a change in resistance if wiring length changed...doubt anything would fire, but if it caused a airbag light, might be issues with resetting- a dealer might not do it if modified, yadda yadda yadda...sorry just trying to think of reasons why not to do this to a few blue mustangs I know of

keep up the good work!
Tim

Well guys its been over a month and through several pretty hard rain storms as well as my car being turned into an igloo of snow thanks to the weather last week there still has not been one leak or problem!

Haha Dread, youres was actually one of the ones that inspired me to do mine!

Ford4v429 - Thanks for the props. As for the trunk im keeping that on wraps right now ive got some custom work in the works but for the battery it will be a redtop Optima in an aluminum Taylor box. Havent had any problems with cold starts at all and the temp here has been in the single digits at times. No problems routing the cable. The hardest part was removing the push pins on the trim in the rear on the passenger side. Trust me, id love to do some more work to the clean up the engine bay but moneys on the tight side lol As for the airbag sensor/controls, they are part of seperate unit that is mounted under the climate controls. Havent had any airbag lights.

I just saw this thread now and I am floored at you memphisstylee. You say you are just a regular guy and anyone can do this with time., NO way! Your a very talented person whether you know it of not. That is a BIG job that only wiring experts would ever tackle. I would never attempt it.. Very nice looking too. Hats off to you my friend! Your car looos great.

Topbliss - Thanks for the props. Yea it was a pretty involved job but I was fortunate to have been taught by my dad how to take things apart and deal with wiring/electronics at a young age by working on airplanes and whatnot. Not to mention ive always being very mechanically inclined. But either way, I still think anyone with enough patience, time, and ***** could be walked through this lol

this pic still floors me, man does that look like a bizzilllion times better...

question: given any thought to possibly a WMS CAI setup- would really open up the drivers side to balance it out...05GT-OCD in here has one, and it looks cool with the straight inlet and filter across the front...only one Ive seen 'in person' and its a nice looking setup, and *seems* logical that loosing the 90 degree turn before the TB (if possible) could be a goood idea...

comment: you know, Ive looked under that hood many, many times, but not until seeing your pictures did it ever dawn on me that the AC refrigerant lines go into the drivers side of the dash- isnt that odd? bet replacing a heater core or evaporator in these cars is a real joy
