You may not be able to get a stock hood on the gt500...I think b/c of the blower it sits higher and requires the more aggresive/higher hood

TRCF HP Model #67 Hood

Heres a picture of the model #67 hood, its less aggressive.
The picture of the #67 hood is in primer and won't be released to the public for another couple weeks.

It is constructed the same as the #68, two piece composite construction with a channel inbetween the layers that ducts cool fresh air from the front scoops and then dumps the cool charge over top the airbox/CAI, it also has heat extractors in the rear.

Both hoods have show quality finishes on the outer and inner panels, TRCF hoods need very little prep before paint, plus the scoops are functional.

We just had a meeting on that very topic, currently we also sell the GT500 front fascia, grills, headlamps and so on to clone a GT500 for the Musatng GT and V6 car owners that want to use our hoods.

So first things first, these hoods have only been on the market for two weeks.

Awesome, I'll be standing by eagerly waiting for the news.

I think if you keep the dimensions/proportions of the scoop on the regular hood you would have a winner.

The hood is fully functional, like the #68 its of a two piece composite construction with a passage that channels fresh air in from the front scoops through the inner and outer panels, then dumps the charge over the airbox/CAI.

Thanks, Jeff TRCF

It doesn't line up with the headlight posts as it is meant for a GT fascia but it pretty good with the GT 500 front. If you haven't seen it on one here is Louie's coversion with it.

Wow, that car looks killer. Perfect combo of parts.

I am very interested in the GT-H/CS6 hood. Call or email me your price and phone number.
Thanks

I'll have some finished pics of the model#67 in a couple weeks, we are doing a 05 Mustang GT GT500 conversion right now that will have the #67 hood on it.

Sounds good. How hard would it be to make either hood without the extractors? Also can we get an underside shot of the hoods.

I agree.. The extractors seem to make it a bit busy... I like the rest though.

Ditto. Would like an under side shot and although I like the 67 hood, I'd like it even more if the extractors could be omitted.

2 reasons you can't omit the heat extractors.

1.The hood would quiver from under hood pressures at high speeds.

2. Under hood temps would increase, defeating the cool air charge from the front scoops.

Give me a couple weeks to post the hood painted on a car and I'll also post pics of the under hood.

Ok, I understand, after having talked to you the other day, how your hoods work, however, couldn't you change your design slightly to still make the hood scoops functional, but not quiver? I know that there are plenty of functional hoods that don't require pins and stuff.

You can not design a hood for the new GT500 without heat extractors, its that simple, you have to get rid of the heat produced by the Supercharger. The model HP #68 hood was tested to 160 MPH without any hood flutter.

The scoops are our design by choice to offer the GT500 owner an air ram, cool charge effect thats an advantage to anyone using a CAI or or bigger Supercharger, it also helps the stock airbox since the area that its located is blocked by the bigger tires and inner fender, our hood feeds that space from over head.

If your asking us to redesign the hoods, not going to happen anytime soon, the hoods have only been released for 3 weeks and the reactions have been very good to this point, it was at SEMA and people really liked it.
