Smoked Headlights and Taillights Pictures

I'm interested in purchasing smoked headlight and taillights for my white 2005 Mustang GT.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/05-mus...ht-covers.html

How are these installed? Does anyone have pictures of what they look like before they are put on? If any one has them on a white mustang I would love to see pictures.

Thanks!

According to documentation on them, the front ones are held in place just like most headlight covers on the market. they just clip under and ontop of the headlight. The rears are held in place with 3M adhesive. You might want to do a search in the By color-Performance white section or ask someone in there if they have them on a white mustang.

Also, check with your local city government to make sure they are legal for when the car is in motion. I know there are some very picky police out there who would love to pull you over for a chat about how dark they are. Just a heads up.

Ya, in most places it is illegal to drive with them on. Even on the packaging it will say "Off-Road use only". I know I got busted for having them on a car before.

I had trouble with the rear ones hitting my truck and scratching the paint. I think alot of people had that problem also. Do a search. So I just sold them.

I would NOT get those for the heads or the tails I have heard of nothing but trouble with those covers. You are better off getting the tint film for them.

That's exactly what I did and it was easy and I didn't have any problems like the GTS covers.

Here is mine. I trimmed the fronts down as they interfere with closing the hood. I put a small strip of velcro to keep them in place.

That's the best front covers I've seen.

Seems a little strange that headlights that rotate out of sight are legal and headlights covers are not. One is electrical and one is manual. Seems all you would need to show is they can be removed by I am not expert and I will probably not test the system just yet. I know I am too dark with window tint and probably a little louder than local ordances allow. Do not want to compound the offense.

I have the GTO covers for the front and foglights...well had the fog lights until I lost one. While I do like the looks of the covers, I hated that they kept coming loose, so I just took them off.

Idiots operate the lights at night with the smoked covers in place. They really are a safety hazard. Taillamps at any time are difficult to see lit up if they have dark tinted covers.

Automatic headlamp covers are not illegal because they do not impede the full quality of light as the headlamps are in use.
