Silver Horse Stuff is amazing!
that is a good idea sodaman... although, it looks as if it may need another coat or two. coverage seems a bit uneven in certain areas. might just be the lighting in the pic though.
man, i was hoping my emblem would come in today.
i wanted to install my rear medallion. crud and double crud.

Silver Horse Racing stuff is amazing and great customer service. I am selling my rear panel if anyone is interested just because I am adding a different grille which will be polished and I don't think the panel will look right then.

Sorry I wasn't here all weekend - been busy preparing for PRI - someone had to finish the new race simulator in time for the show
Off the top of my head, no - but I am guessing 8-32... I don't have the callout for that handy, and you are partially correct - we use it to fixture for finishing (anodize or plating) so that there are no marks left on the piece in general when done. Otherwise, you couldn't "hang" it in the chemical baths since there is no hidden area on the part.
The velcro - it's more to "level" the height of the bezel in the console than anything else - it holding the bezel down is just a nice side-effect. The one in my car has nothing in it, and doesn't rattle at all, but we started adding the velcro just to make sure. Adding another second strip in that area might be something we do on future pieces, as I'm always looking to make the products the best they can be - it just never seemed important to have it there, but I could see the usefulness of it.
I wouldn't drill into the console - how would you access the bolts unless you were willing to remove the console to screw them in is the real question... that, and if you wanted to remove it to clean the cup holders out, you'd be in for quite a job every time...
Other than that, I see the pictures of your doors in process - it looks very nice, I like the red on the polished parts. It's going to look sweet when it's all done and installed!

Hello ,
Marcello could you tell me what size thread and bolt those holes are on the bottom of the cup holder bezel. I guess you used those for the cnc machines etc? One suggestion, I notice you have velcro on the back section, but I would suggest putting it on the two little wing sections near the middle of the cup holders where the holes are for better hold and vibration issues. I personally am thinking of drilling holes in the wing sections of the center console, so that I may bolt this down. So if you can give me the proper bolt and thread pitch I could drill two small holes, then attach from other side with bolt and washers. Thanks for any help. Stuff still looks amazing I am going to be putting most of it on today, so I will have some pics soon. Cya

Well these pictures dont do it justice. It's night time. But it really looks nice. I did drill through the console. I took off the finish panel on the center console, marked them up and drilled a hole for each side, then wallowed them out a bit to get the bolts to line up nicely, bolted them down. Nice and tight. This is not going anywhere. I dont mind cleaning around them. I just wanted it nice and tight for soda's etc. Awesome stuff man, let me know when the bezel, and everything else is done. I am sure I am in on them too if its the quality of this stuff. Thanks Marcello.
ps. I will try and take some pics during the day and repost.

Very nice! I bow in your general direction
On the other pieces - they only get released when I'm happy with them, and you can see what level I hold all of our current stuff to... BTW - they were 8-32, at least the measurements I took came up as that, since I don't have the drawings handy right now.

OH yah one other thing. Now that my **** fuel door looks so **** good I need a gas cap too match!!!!!!!!! Are you working on one of those Marcello,LOL,LOL. well if anyone has some suggestions on a awesome gas cap that will work with the 06 gt. I want it to work properly. So only those specific to are models. Thanks for any suggestions.
You mean the actual threaded cap? Nope - no suggestions there that would be close. Problem is that is actually part of the vehicle emission system, and there would be a lot of money involved in doing one to look really nice to then just end up hiding under the outer door while remaining functional. If you don't do it properly, you'd end up with a CEL all the time from evaporative failure...
Time for a functional dry-break.

Oh goodness I hope not... I'll have people lynching me if we are that far behind. Actually it's real close now, so I'm not sweating it, and they will be nice, I'm sure. I'm excited to get a look at them this week just before we open the booth at PRI.
looks good sodaman i got the black GT fuel door for mine and painted the stainless allen head screws black so that it's all black. Definitely agree on the part that silverhose's quality show's in their product and their customer support is 2nd to none.
I can't believe someone isn't making an aftermarket gas cap. Not even ford racing is doing one. You are right it is hidden most of the time. But if your doing it for show etc, you want to have all your bases covered. When I open up that beautiful gas door, I see this god awful black plastic. There has got to be something better! Can anyone help! Even if its just for when I have the car in shows down the road. Can't we make a cover just like most of the caps are covers?
How about chrome plating the OEM piece? A good chrome shop can do it, and it would definitely be a one-off... that, or I can have one airbrushed (or you can contact Bill directly - either way works) and that will give it a custom touch....
You got some good ideas there marcello, didnt even think of hireman doing something or getting it chromed. Never delt with plating etc. Let me look into it. That and I wonder what hireman could come up with for under the fuel door, what would pop out at you, when you open, LOL. Because you know the first thing someone does that likes it is open it up to see how it works etc, then bam ugly cap, but now I can come up with something, I new you guys wouldnt let me down. Cool now I have ideas, thanks a bunch.
i would think that a painted gas cap could easily be damaged by spilt fuel. although, i cant say i have ever spilled fuel on my cap before... just something to maybe think about.
chroming sounds like a good idea.

No, properly prepared it will hold up just as good as the paint around the fuel filler neck. That said, you wouldn't want to have the part bath in it, but a little splash here or there won't kill it. Anyway, if I know how Soda is going to be taking care of his baby, the thing probably will get fed fuel through a baby bottle

eat my dust there is a picture of one on the posting about the medallion, heres a link to that page. Good luck, it looks awesome in black too.

Just wanted to add a big ole +1 to the topic of this thread. Just got my cupholder bezel today and it looks great. Keep up the good work Marcello! Now I just have to wait for the car to come so I have something to put this bezel into it.
