Silver Horse Racing Black Tail Light Trim

Just got these pieces installed earlier today. They fit very well, but not exactly what I want, but nowhere near as bulky as the other products out there! I messed up just a bit on the passenger side bottom as I wasn't aware I didn't get the bottom lined up right, but that will be hard to tell unless you bend down to look It sure gives a nice accent to the lights while helping build up the area around and between the lights without overpowering them. Thanks again Marcello and the rest of the excellent staff at SHR

I Think that looks really good, how much did they run? I've been looking for something like that to add some
color to my tails

I painted mine too with some flat black paint. The tapeing and trimming was what took the longest but it was well worth it.

Very nice "completion" of the look with the smoked taillights

We have these made for us by the same company that produces our dash kits for us (hence why we have the real carbon fiber ones as well), so our supplier thanks you for keeping manufacturing jobs here in North America - wish we could say the same for companies out there that source from overseas...

You said they were not quite what you had expected - was it just the material flexibility (most on the market are rigid materials), or something else that we could change to make it better for customers? If it's within the range of what can be done, we're always open to looking at improving the breed.

Marcello, I'm looking for something that fills in the area between and around the tail lights. I'd like for the entire area to be flush all the way across (from body to tail panel). The ones 07AU2BOT posted is what I had in mind. The depth of what you sell is the only thing I'm not satisfied with. The flexibility and finish is top notch, so no complaints there.

Hey....You wernt making them then.
Theyve been on the car about a year an a half.

Ive been contemplating getting a set for my car but I would have to cut 1/3 off of them to fit the saleen
tail lamp fascia.
It would be a first though and could open them up to Saleen owners as an option.

If I was to critique it I would say.....thicker.
Here is a top/bottom comparison of 07 au2bot's Mustang & Kooldawg6's:

It also appears like it wasnt long enough top to bottom so it was stretched and in doing so
it pulls on the ...plastic? Notice the bottom horizontal line? See how it bumps up at the channel seperations but 07autobots is straight?

Anyways.....not trying to dog it. It looks great....but can be improved.

We always appreciate honest feedback that we can incorporate into our products, otherwise I wouldn't ask for it, so no worries - you took the time to lay out your thoughts nicely, I'll take the time to take them into consideration for how to improve things

This is the style of tail light bezel that needs to be made (the new Shelby 350 has the style).

A bigger bezel (instead of just an inlay) that isolates each lens more to give better definition.

They need to be flat black so as to give more of a look reminiscent of the old 70's Mach 1's but in all black without the chrome..

For the retro look of the S197 I think this would a great look.
I know some will say it is too bulky but it doesn't have to be a huge bezel but only as big as it needs to be to give definition.

There is a chrome bezel out there that some have painted black that comes close (red s197 photo). Having them come flat black without the need for painting would be a bonus.

The ones on the red car appear to be the ones at Moss Muscle and they have them in chrome or black ...
