I am going to install side stripes soon and I am looking for recommendations on location. Specifically, how far below the indent on the door should they be. Also, anyone who has installed side stripes, did you use the door indent as a guide. I'm concerned about them not looking straight in relation to the ground.

The hockey stick on the side and the rocker panel are not parallel, but they both slope up towards the back of the car. I followed the indent on the door, and my stripes definately slope upwards. I am hoping that when I lower the rear, the stripe will level out a bit. If I had followed the rocker moulding, it would probably have appeared more level, but I'm not sure if that would have it sloping down after a rear-lowering or not. You'll have to take measurements on your car and decide what's best for you. I would follow one or the other, though. I would think that splitting the difference, not following either line, would make it tend to look crooked? JMO

I used the rocker molding and measured 7" from the top. I used that line for the top of the decal (not the backing paper). I wish I had a picture for you to supplement the discription, but it looks good and it fits perfectly in my opinion.

I also used the rocker molding as a guide... I measured a distance of 7 3/8" to the top or 4 1/4" to the bottom (my decal is 3 1/8" H) ...

Argghhh, can I bring this topic back up (yea, I know, Luke not another one). Gonna go with rocker stripe, and thinking about measurements. Any opinions on a little wider and lower stripe.

4" middle stripe, 1" top/botton, with 1/2" gap. That is measured from the top of the rocker panel.......
