Side exhaust kit

Id really like to add a a side exhaust to my GT. I dont care for the Cervini kit theres just too much plastic involved in it. If I have to do the pipes custom thats OK I dont mind. Im looking for the skirts and the rear. If there is nothing affordable Im pretty sure I can cut a rear and make one out of two, to cover the wholes and make it look clean. Anything out there? Price wise Cervinis is great just not what I was looking at. Saw Bash had one but they changed it and I think even they think it looks awful. Im going to be doing long tubes anyways and figured why not do this all together.

The Cervini's kit looks pretty good without the skirts, too. That would also be a possibility. I had my kit on for almost a year with just the side pipes, because I was trying to find a good body shop for the body kit. I got compliments all the time. That's a route you might want to consider as well

thanks. i got the whole Cervini's kit. But I really liked just having the pipes. Like I said, I got alot of compliments. It'd probably look really good with a Boss or Mach 1 styled theme.

I really like the BBR (www.blowbyracing.com) kit but its pricey. Ronaele kit but they wont sell it. Any ideas how to get either of these cheaper, even just the body kits and the exhaust tips?

Yes ,, that looks cool...can it be purchased just like that? How does it sound? You would need a new bumper also, with no cutouts for the tips..any idea of the cost for this?
Thanks, Dave

I believe you have to purchase it with side skirts. You could call them. They may do it without the skirts, however, if you purchase the kit as it is from the site, you will get the rear valence as well. Otherwise, you'd have to have something custom made at a local shop or something for the rear bumper. Here's a few clips. This was with a crappy tune before I got my bama one, but it'll give you an idea. I think I also had my offroad pipe at the time, but not 100% sure.

If you are going to go the custom bumper route and no side skirts, you may just want to have the exhaust completely custom made at a local shop. it's not too hard. you can see the route here.

I bought Bash's old side exhaust system (oval style). They are on the car right now and have been since last May. The only mod I did was adding a H-Pipe to help smooth the sound out. BBR sells the exact same kit. Both are pricey, but if you are looking for being unique on the streets then it maybe worth it.

As of now, my side skirts, Dave Miller hood, CDC chin spoiler, and rear bumber are being painted. For the rear bumper, I bought a used V6 Mustang bumper ($40) and had it filled. It was cheaper and will look cleaner in the butt vs. having to fill the GT holes. I can recoupe the cost of the V6 bumper when I sell the GT bumper. I will post pics once everything is done.

good idea on the V6 bumper, I was going to cut 2 GT bumpers and fill the holes with that. I'll start looking for a V6 bumper or two

The only thing about the V6 bumper is that is shows a lot of stuff under the car the GT's hide.

I'm going to go look at a V6 tommorow and GT side by side, I dont think its as much work on the 6 as the 8 (double of course on the 8) but I need to see the height as the skirts may sita tad lower and Id like to even it all out. Do you have any pics of your work, Id love to see it. It would be a big help
